S.M.G is a submission to the Player 2 NPC Jam #4

In a distant future, military power has shifted decisively toward advanced technology. Wars are no longer fought solely by human soldiers, but by humanoid droids, mechanized infantry, and experimental combat systems that redefine the value of human life.

At the center of this technological revolution stands Orion Robotics, a globally renowned corporation leading innovation in humanoid robotics, powered armor, and autonomous warfare solutions. Their creations have reshaped the battlefield—and the world itself.

After two long years of relentless conflict, District 11, once an independent city-state, finally falls and is absorbed into the larger territorial alliance. The war leaves the district devastated: infrastructure ruined, communities fractured, and the value of life diminished in the shadow of endless mechanized combat.

Amid this destruction, Orion Robotics announces a massive new venture in District 11. Factories rise where ruins once stood. Thousands of jobs are created. For the citizens, Orion represents hope—a chance at stability, purpose, and survival in a broken city.

But beneath this promise of renewal lies something far more disturbing.

As Orion’s presence grows, whispers spread of secret projects, missing workers, and experimental programs hidden behind corporate walls. The city’s rebirth may come at a terrible cost.

You play as Subject S.M.G, one of Orion Robotics’ experimental future soldiers—engineered, tested, and deployed as part of a classified initiative. Through your eyes, the truth behind Orion’s operations begins to surface.

What is Orion truly building in District 11?
What sacrifices were made to achieve this technological dominance?
And what does it mean to be human in a world where soldiers are manufactured?

Your mission is not just to survive—but to uncover the truth.
